This is our romantic and gorgeous BLUE ROOM which is situated on the second storey of the Lodge. Being absolute waterfront, you’ll love the multimillion dollars views from the window looking out to the entrance to the Bay Of Islands. Impeccably restored, this room has it all – stunning art, a large dress mirror, antique fittings, a set of drawers, and a top-quality bed. Everything is set for you to arrive and enjoy!
The upper storey BROWN ROOM is tasteful and cosy, also with multimillion-dollar water views. Enjoy the French antique bed with a brand-new mattress, the mid 18th century ceiling light, and the period Kauri wardrobe. Lie in bed and watch the boats go by, or the gannets diving for their dinner, or the stars twinkling in the clear night sky. Either way, you’ll love lying in bed and you won’t want to leave your room!
The beautifully decorated PINK ROOM oozes peace and tranquility. It is the 3rd of four upper storey rooms at Oke Bay Lodge. From your Queen size bed you’ll look out to the newly established orchard, flower beds, and native trees. The orchard is truly alive with birds of all kinds, bees, and insects! There is also a high-quality cot in this room, should you be coming with a toddler. The mattress on the bed is superb!
THE BALCONY ROOM. With two sets of French doors leading out onto a private quaint verandah, and housing two trundler beds, this upstairs room is ever so cute and intimate. Looking out onto native bush and the flowers which line the top of the car park retaining wall, you’ll feel completely at home in this room. It’s so warm and welcoming!
The UPSTAIRS BATHROOM is just stunning! Push open the bi-fold windows, then drink in the visual smorgasbord of flowers and native trees sprawling on the banks outside, then slide into the slipper bath! At the same time enjoy your favourite wine, scented candles, and bubble bath? The choice is yours. The dual silver mirrors add a further touch of class, and shutters on the windows provide complete
There is only one-bedroom downstairs, and it’s the BUNK ROOM. Our more mature guests often prefer this room because of its proximity to the kitchen (cups of tea and snacks during the night!), the lounge, front deck, and the two downstairs bathrooms (a night time tinkle or two!) AND they don’t have to climb the 140 year old stair case to go to bed! The mattresses are both king singles in this bunk
THE KITCHEN is exquisite! The native NZ timber bench tops, finished with high gloss apoxy resin, ooze character and charm. With two large fridges on hand, a wine rack, and a generous pantry, you’ll have everything you need to store your holiday supplies! Every conceivable piece of kitchen hardware is on hand in this kitchen from baking equipment / tools / utensils/ sharp knives, to electronic gism
With seating for 7, a 60” Samsung smart TV, an antique bio fuel fire in winter, THE LOUNGE has been tailored to make your movie / TV watching high tech and homely! Snuggle in a watch your favourite drama or documentary on Neflix, or watch the All Blacks thrash the Aussies! Whatever you choose, you can be sure this room will quickly become the space to gather with others where you can all totally
If you are dining indoors and Oke Bay Lodge, the DINING ROOM is perfectly suited to create a memorable evening! There is an antique bio fuel fire if the night is chilly. Find yourself seated at a huge Kauri dining room table with eight chairs, all perfectly positioned on a top of the line Persian carpet. If you go shoeless and sockless to dinner, you’ll feel the silky smooth quality of the Persi

Very generous. Please enquire.
First, look on the calender below to see if the dates you want are free. If so, then go to Airbnb, enter details regarding how many adults and children want to stay, your dates of stay etc. i.e. get a quote from Airbnb. Airbnb will generate a price. We'll do the same price less 50% of the airbnb commission. i.e. if you book directly through this website, it's cheaper.
If you are looking to book the Lodge on highly sought-after public holidays (e.g. Easter, Labour Weekend, Christmas, New Year’s Eve, Anzac Day, Waitangi Day, Queen’s Birthday etc) please be aware that we will give priority to enquirers according to two criteria.
1. The length of the stay
2. The size of the group.
For example, the maximum length of stay for Easter would be Thursday night plus Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights (i.e. four nights). Most people want to leave on Monday to be home in time for work on Tuesday. The ideal group size would be 10 people (or more if you want overflow in tents on the front lawn).
In contrast, we’d be very hesitant to rent the Lodge over Easter to a couple (i.e. two people) who were only intent on staying Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights (i.e. 3 nights). We’d be denying the larger group the pleasure of holidaying at the Lodge for a long period of time and we’d be forfeiting significant income at a prime time of year.
So if you contact us for a public holiday booking, please keep this in mind. Thanks a million!
